Afghanistan war at juncture as resources fall

After more than a decade of sustained combat in Afghanistan, the war has reached a precarious juncture, having surpassed its zenith in troop levels, funding and support from the international coalition without definitive signs that the campaign is close to vanquishing the insurgency or stabilizing the country.
